A couple weeks ago, I joked about getting an Academy Award, (Read blog: We Are In The Running). I even posted a picture of Oscar. Well a funny thing happened  while I studied Filmfreeway and Goggled— The Academy Awards, I learned that to get in the door you have to win one of their selected film festivals.  They are called qualifying festivals; there are only about 50 of them.

Well our short, indie film is on the yellow brick road. We have entered “Show Me Shorts” (New Zealand’s leading short-film festival) which is one of the Academy’s qualifying festivals.

Now we are really on the way. We already won our first award, look on left.

No joke.

Now I am looking for a dog that looks like Toto.

 Fantasies are so much fun.
