This Is How I Roll…

Published Post author

 I love these five words: This is how I roll.

They carry an attitude.zig zag man

Swaggering words burning eardrums.

If you don’t like it— who cares.

This is me and don’t dare to try to change me.

This is the way I handle my situation.

This is my style.

As a teenager, I can see mouthing the five words at my parents.

I need not explain anything else because this is how I roll.

A note to reader:

Once a day throw out the five words, with attitude, and watch the listener’s reaction.

Surfing The Net

Published Post author

surferI’m surfing the net and I see that MyInforms.com, which is a news delivery service, ran my blog on “The Stairs” being accepted to the Near Nazareth Film Festival in Israel,

Then low and behold, I see on their website “The Latest News from Mortlaitner.com— Books Feed. I click on the page and there are my blogs with interpretive pictures about the subject matter of my story. My ego takes flight as I thank MyInforms.com for being  a secondary publisher of my work.

A Great Sequential Birthday Present—Laurels

Published Post author

On my sequential birthday (67) I predicted to my son, Blake, that “The Stairs” would be accepted into another  film festival in honor of my birthday. Well, my prediction came true. Thanks to the New York Sun Fest of Ellington, New York. (See email below) “The Stairs” shall have a live screening this summer in Ellington. (Western New York State) Please advise if you are planning on going.

I love laurels. Great gift Sun Fest.

Thanks to all the Facebook patrons for wishing me a happy birthday.
For the curious or for those keeping score, here are our stats:

One film festival —- first place finish;

Two additional acceptances with laurels—waiting for final results;

 Another festival called our film a “masterpiece.”

Four rejections.

For baseball fans we are batting 500.

That ain’t  bad or as the optimist in me says, “That’s darn good.”
