“Til Death Do Us Part” Poster

Blake’s “Til Death Does Us Part” Movie Poster

WOW! What a beautiful minimalist artistic poster.

It looks like a Hollywood studio creation.

While I was at Office Depot, a child looked at the poster

and said,” Mom, look at that cupcake!”

What a great poster to promote and advertise “Til Death

Does Us Part.”

I can see it encased in a movie theater’s marquee

surrounded in white light bulbs.

The Hollywood Reporter sponsors the Key Art Award for

movie posters and I think Blake’s poster has a shot at winning.

“Til Death Does Us Part” Moves Up To Semi-Finalist Status

Congratulations to Blake Laitner’s for his direction and production of “Til Death Do Us

Part.”

The movie has just started its film-festival journey and  has tasted a modicum of success.

A Rebel Minded Festival (ARMF) has upgraded Blake’s short independent film to the

status of semi- finalist.

ARMF has been running for four years and is  based out of Brooklyn, New York.

“ARMF is our summer cultural festival which represents the grand stage for all independent innovators, creators, pioneers, and revolutionaries to express themselves through Film, Fashion, Art, Comedy, and Music among a community who genuinely respect and support the independent culture. It is a platform for independent movements to further develop, as well as for people to network with some of the Tri-State’s most talented up-and-coming independent organizations, brands, and individuals.

The Film screening will feature independent filmmakers who will be screening original documentaries, short films, trailer, and music videos. A Rebel Minded Society embraces independent films and filmmakers who aspire to bring untold stories, thought-provoking projects, music inspired works and music videos to an audience of fashion enthusiasts, curious music fans, artists, and attendees of A Rebel Minded Festival. ARMF celebrate works of quality that unquestionably contribute to the progress of the independent culture arts as well as encourage the development of the art and creatively within.”

“Til Death Do Us Part” meets ARMF’s criteria being an untold story, with thought

provoking dialogue and beautiful original songs and music.

This is Blake’s third film—having previously worked on “The American Dream” and “The

Stairs”.

Congratulations to the cast and the crew for making this film a success.

You are all a bunch of rebels.

“Splattered” Humor by Mort Laitner

“Splattered” Humor by Mort Laitner

As I lowered my body on to the public throne, my eyes froze on the yellow stains

splattered on the cold white tiles.

These six-by-six tiles resembled Jackson Pollack’s “drip paintings” made during his yellow

and white period.

Here in this small cubicle, a urine artist perfected his big “drip” technique.

I thought:

Was this a protégé of Andy Warhol during his Oxidations series attempting to achieve

immortality by painting with his manly brush and bodily fluids?

“Did this abstract impressionist intentionally fail to hit such a large target?”

“Was this the pee art of a child or a person with a disability.”

“Do they not teach finger painters marksmanship in elementary school?”

“Did they not teach Picasso to clean up after himself?

“Dogs do a better job of marking their territory on fire hydrants than this little artistic

pisher.”

As I rose off the public throne, these questions remained unanswered.

But I admired my ability to see art in all spaces and all places.
