Catching Your Dreams

Congrats to Blake and all the members of The Totally Mind-Blowing Show (TMBS) team for having been selected to be shown at the Dreamz Catcher International Film Festival.

I study Dreamz Catcher’s logo (see above), observing a wide-eyed, wise old owl perched on a crescent moon, with seven black and white feathers attached to the bottom of the net. I remember when a native American tribe sent me dreamcatchers via the US mail in the hope of receiving donations.

Of course, I sent them a donation.

Of course, I researched the history of dreamcatchers; I learned that they were made of willow hoops on which a net or web was woven. They were often decorated with feathers or trinkets and hung over a cradle or child’s bed, like spider webs. These dreamcatchers protected children from evil spirits, like hamsas protect folks with a hand and an evil eye.

Of course, I liked the concept of these nets catching actual dreams.

So as I wrote a check for the charity, I wondered, “What would I do if I caught one of my dreams?”

Of course, like Sigmund, I would analyze it and store it away to see if the dream ever became true.

The TMBS thanks Dreamz Catcher for this honor and for making one of its dreams come true.

And here’s some info about the festival. The International Film Festival (DCIFF) is an IMDb-qualified film festival. It’s committed to perceiving, appreciating, advancing, and supporting movie makers throughout the planet.
