Hello, gorgeous:)
I remember that it was Barbra Streisand’s opening line in “Funny Girl”.
But I can’t recall anyone ever calling me gorgeous.
But I still can remember that 1964 Broadway hit musical that helped launch Barbra into stardom.
And I’ve watched “Funny Girl” a number of times.
You recall Omar Sharif playing Nick Arnstein and of course, you know the words to “People”.
Sing along with me:
“People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world”
Good job!
But I never read William Mann’s Streisand biography,
“Hello, Gorgeous—Becoming Barbra Streisand”.
But I did read that “We Need Rent Money” received some awesome news from the Awesome Film Festival.
Blake’s film has been awarded finalist status in the Best Comedy Feature Film category.
As AFF says, “We’re an awesome film festival for awesome filmakers.”
(Sick of reading the word “awesome”, if so, I promise to use it only one more time.)
Additional news:
Blake’s distribution efforts are paying off in gangbuster style. Money is rolling in from around the world.
The following streaming services are hosting “We Need Rent Money”:
1. Amazon Prime;
2. Tubi
3. Plex
4. Stubhub Brazil
5. Nuclear Home Video
Thanks AFF for the great news (Please note: I didn’t use the A-word) and to all our distributors for making “We Need Rent Money” available to audiences across the globe and to all of WNRM fans for renting the movie.
You’re the most beautiful people in the world; you’re awesome; you’re gorgeous
