“The Stairs” has been accepted
into Slovakia’s Minutnik International Film and Beer Festival. I love their director’s chair in their logo.
Here are some firsts:
- First acceptance with a Connoisseur Beer Tasting;
- First acceptance in Slovakia— a beautiful country, I visited as a hippie, when it was called Czechoslovakia— before it divided itself into two nations;
- First acceptance showing Russian cult films;
- First contest where the first place winner gets a motorhome for a week (for needs of shooting or for a vacation).
Here is why they call it Minutnik:
The name comes from a stream by the same name that has a strange property of only flowing in sporadic, minute-long bursts. This is why the film festival will focus on short films.
If you think I am going to make any jokes about minute-long sporadic bursts you are wrong. But if you have one I am all ears.
Remember to RSVP for world premiere of “The Stairs” at the Paradiso in Fort Lauderdale on June 25, 2016 at 5:30.
