A tribute to Mort’s Dad, a true Jewish hero. The book proves that survivors and other Jews demonstrated defiance, both within the hellacious death camps, as well as outside. It is not surprising that his Dad did not want to discuss the events with his son. He would not want to burden his son with the grief he miraculously lived through. Like the Shoah Foundation, the story helps to keep the history of the Nazi atrocities alive, so that they should not fade into history. The book is well worth reading.
